Do I need to pay for my driver’s food and accommodation?

You aren't required to pay for your driver's food or refreshments, although snacks and water would surely be appreciated. However, you are required to provide overnight accommodation for long-distance trips. By law, bus drivers are required to rest for 8 hours for every 10 hours of driving or 15 hours of non-driving duty. You’ll want your driver to be well-rested and ready to keep your group safe on busy Salt Lake City roads.

Tipping is not required but it is always appreciated and a wonderful way to thank your charter bus driver for keeping your group safe throughout your travels. If you want to show your appreciation for your driver’s hard work, consider providing a tip of 10% in cash at the end of your trip.
